        4. DO YOU CREATE CUSTOM LIFT DESIGNS?

          6. IF I CURRENTLY HAVE A LIFT AND AM GETTING A NEW BOAT, CAN I MODIFY MY EXISTING LIFT FOR MY NEW BOAT?

ANSWER: The short answer is no. If your new vessel is larger or weighs more than your current vessel, your lift cannot be modified to accommodate your new boat. That being said, it depends on the weight rating of your lift. If you have a 15,000 lb lift, and your old boat was a 12,000 lb boat and your new boat is 14,000 lbs. the lift will work on the new boat depending on the hull style. If you know the weight of your new vessel and want to know what lift will work for you, give us a call or fill out the HOMEOWNER FORM. Be sure to include details of the boat you are considering for your new lift.

            7. HOW MUCH WATER DEPTH DO I NEED TO INSTALL A GOLDEN LIFT?

ANSWER: This varies depending on the lift and the vessel you are using it with. In most cases you need a minimum low tide depth of 3’-5’ to safely operate a boat lift. That being said, we do have lifts that operate in different depths and in many different environments. For more information about what lift will work in your area and with your vessel, check out our BOAT LIFT SELECTOR.

            8. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE MY LIFT INSTALLED?

ANSWER: There are many factors that will determine how long it takes to have your boat lift ready to enjoy. Some of those factors include finding a Golden Dealer in your area, selecting the right lift for your location and vessel, obtaining the necessary permits for the installation, and delivery of the lift system to your location. Once these steps are completed, it typically will take just a few days for the installation.
